FAQ
ABOUT ME
My name is Lou ( she/her) I'm from the south of France where i'm currently living. I've been knitting for the past 10 years and fell in love with dyeing yarn. I dye color and combinations that reflects what I love.
I also love baking, cooking, cuddling my 5 cats, my plants, watching knitting podcasts, and old movies while drinking a huge amount of tea (or coffee) ! And crafting all the things !
All of the yarn is dyed by me, in my kitchen in small batch.
mulesing free
All of the yarns are purchased from mulesing free distributors.
Yarn care
To ensure the longevity of your yarns, I recommend washing your knits in cool water. The yarns are always washed after being dyed to remove excess pigment, but due to the process of hand dyeing, some excess pigment may remain especially with intense colors.
wash your knits in cool water with a little soap, press it with a towel to remove excess water and lay flat to dry.
All the yarn is hand dyed in small batches so they are all are unique and there will be small differences in tones, speckles and the distribution of color so i recommend if using more than one skein to alternate your skeins, you will avoid pooling and have a more uniform looking color.
For the variegated colorways if you order more than one skein I will be careful to choose the most similar skeins.
Shipping
I ship internationally, taxes and customs fee that comes with international orders are the responsibility of the customer.
All of the in stock yarns orders will be mailed out within a week. The preorder listing will have the anticipated time listed. If you place an in stock order at the same time as a preorder, the in stock yarn will ship when the whole order is ready to sent. Please be mindful that it is just me behind Alouette Yarns and I will do my best with your order always.
